Emerald Helm Launch
Waaaazzzzzuuuuuuupppppp?!
Autumn is just around the corner, loyal reader. You know the drill - sweaters, wood fires, pumpkin spice everything... and a whole lot more reading. Maybe?
Of course! And I've got just the ticket for you: Emerald Helm: Tales Of Courtly Valour I, the first book in the 'Tales Of' portion of The Avalon Cycle, has just been released. You can click the link to check it out... or read the Foreword to the book, written by none other than Erica Jones, owner / reviewer of The Hearth book review blog! Foreword is after the pic of the cover, painted by the uber-talented Shaela Kinting and designed by the brilliant Cynthia Dunphy.
Foreword
If you are new to Andrew’s work, a very huge welcome to you! I’m so glad you are here reading this! You might discover Andrew’s writing style to be unique and one-of-a-kind. To tell you the truth, that is exactly what you will find and much more. After reading this fantastic story filled with gems, coated in messages of love, I highly recommend you search out his other treasure-filled stories that are The Druid Trilogy, starting with Top Man: The Epic Wager and/or The Hammer of the Gods: So You Want to be a Star. If you’re familiar with the Druid Trilogy and therefore one of Andrew’s fans, welcome back! Buckle up, you are about to embark on a grand exciting adventure of the ages.
For a little backstory, Andrew and I met through Facebook when I (a new to the scene book reviewer) came across his Facebook ad and decided to sign up to be on his mailing list, (I would also recommend that you do the same). In making this one decision I knew beforehand that we would become true friends, what I did not know until now (the very day I’m writing this) is just how blessed I am to know Andrew and that I get to read and discover new things written inside of these masterpieces every day. He is a master at story-telling and at getting that story deep down into your heart and soul. How, you ask? It flows out of his heart and soul.
What would one expect out of the Tales of Courtly Valour series? Great question. Goblin paintings and farts. Need I say more? Yes? How about unicorn fluid? More? Yes? Pee-Wee. More? A sex frenzy. Are you laughing as hard as I am? If not, just wait until you get to The Bloody Basket, you will be roaring then! You might be thinking: where are the promised gems? Laughter and comedy are gems, my dears! But where are the messages coated in love, Erica? I’ll tell you what I saw within these pages.
Some believe sexual union is dirty and perhaps even evil but in reality, it is quite beautiful and wondrous. This is the way God sees it and therefore is how He intended for us to see it also. I have also come to realize while reading this book that we must go through sadness and pain to find happiness. In other words, you must enter the darkness of life to reach the light, to show love through your gifts and so much more. I hope you enjoy this wonderful book as much as I did and remember to always follow that beautiful heart of yours!
Love always,
Erica Jones

Dreams Reflection
Every once in a while I get bored of using my fictional characters as mouthpieces for philosophy and go in for the real deal. Like most people, the pandemic has not been easy for yours truly. But that doesn't mean that there are no silver linings to pain or nuggets of my own journey I can't relate to you all in the form of the essay. So, I write these Reflections. You can read the newest one, Dreams, at the following link.

Well, that it for now, folks! I'm going to leave you with a poem by the ecstatic poet, Rumi, about the nature of love. I chose this one because the first story in Emerald Helm is about the two star-crossed lovers of Arthurian legend, Launcelot and Guinevere... though I suspect you've never read a version like mine before!
The minute I heard my first love story,
I started looking for you, not knowing
how blind that was.
Lovers don’t finally meet somewhere.
They’re in each other all along.
Much love,
Andrew
